Archiving Policy
The Sustainability in Civil Engineering journal is committed to the long-term preservation of all published research. We understand that scholarly articles are permanent records of scientific progress and must remain accessible even in the event of technical failures or changes in the publishing landscape. To achieve this, PT. Cendikia Publikasi Indonesia employs a multi-layered digital archiving strategy.
The journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. Furthermore, all content is integrated into the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides a secure, permanent storage solution for journals using the OJS platform. We also assign a unique DOI to every article, ensuring that the link to the research remains permanent and retrievable even if the journal's web structure changes.
In addition to these external networks, the publisher maintains regular, secure backups of all journal data. We also encourage authors to archive the published version of their articles (the Version of Record) in their institutional repositories or personal websites to further ensure redundancy and accessibility. These comprehensive archiving policies guarantee that the intellectual contributions of our authors are protected for the benefit of future generations of engineers.
