Plagiarism Policy
Sustainability in Civil Engineering journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. We recognize that engineering research often involves the use of established formulas and methods; however, the presentation of results and the discussion of their implications must be the original work of the authors. To protect the integrity of the journal, every submitted manuscript is screened for similarity using industry-standard software such as Turnitin or iThenticate.
The journal has set a maximum allowable Similarity Index of 20%. Editors also conduct a qualitative review of the similarity report to ensure that any matching text is properly cited and does not include critical original findings from other researchers. If a manuscript exceeds the 20% threshold or shows signs of significant unoriginal content, it will be returned to the authors for correction or rejected outright depending on the severity of the overlap.
In the event that plagiarism is discovered after an article has been published, the journal will follow COPE guidelines for retraction or correction. This may include a formal retraction notice and notification to the author's home institution. We urge authors to use reference management software and strictly adhere to the IEEE style for all citations to avoid any accidental plagiarism. These measures are essential for maintaining the high scientific reputation of PT. Cendikia Publikasi Indonesia.
