Publication Ethics
Sustainability in Civil Engineering journal maintains strict ethical standards based on the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Our ethical policy ensures that all parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, and reviewers—adhere to the highest level of professional conduct. PT. Cendikia Publikasi Indonesia acts as a guardian of these standards, ensuring that every published piece of research is credible, objective, and transparent.
Authors are required to present an accurate account of their original research and an objective discussion of its significance. Any form of data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism is considered a major ethical breach and will result in the immediate rejection of the manuscript. Authors must also ensure that their work has not been published elsewhere and is not currently under consideration by another journal. Proper acknowledgement of the work of others must always be given through accurate citations in the IEEE style.
Editors are responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the journal will be published, based solely on intellectual merit without regard to the author's background. They must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted materials and manage any potential conflicts of interest among the editorial board and reviewers. Reviewers, in turn, must provide objective, constructive feedback and alert the editor to any ethical concerns, such as substantial similarity between the manuscript and published works.
